Valeria “Val” J. Welber, 87 years, of Toledo, OH passed away Friday, April 21, 2023 in her home. The daughter of Stanley and Josephine (Niemczyk) Zaremba she was born September 24, 1935 in Toledo. She had worked in the marketing department of Champion Spark Plug.
August 24, 1957, she married Virgil “Skip” Welber and together they enjoyed traveling, extensively in the Caribbean, and took a great tour of Europe in 1971. He passed away after 34 years of marriage.
For many years, Val was very active at St. Clement Catholic Church and Regina Coeli Catholic Church. She had served as a board member of The Ohio Theatre and was a member of the Quarter Century Club at Champion Spark Plug.
She loved her cat “Puck”.
Val is survived by her loving nephews, John Jascob, David (Cynthia) Jascob; and other nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Chester, Harry, Edward Zaremba; and sisters, Helen Zaremba, and Virginia Jascob.
The funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, April 25, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Clement Catholic Church, Toledo where there will be visiting after 9:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH.
