Michael Briskey

Michael V. Briskey, 67, of Temperance, MI passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2020 at University of Michigan Hospital with his wife at his side. Born on April 11, 1953, he was the son of Bernard and Beatrice (Kregulka) Briskey. Michael attended  St Anthony of Padua Catholic Elementary School, St Francis deSales and Bedford High School.

Michael was drafted during Vietnam War conflict and was Honorably discharged a Sergeant from the Army. He worked for the B&O Railroad for 10 years and then retired as a torque inspector from FCA Jeep/Gladiator after 37 years.

Michael was a life-long member of St Anthony Catholic Church where he married Roslyn L. (Mangold, Krieg) Jessmon.

He is a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Council #11430, The Faithful Navigator of Knights of Columbus Assembly #488, member of the Catholic War Veterans, member of UAW Local 12 Jeep Unit, Platinum Club member of the Region 2-B UAW V-Cap.

Michael loved spending time with his wife, children and grandchildren. He enjoyed his motorcycles, classic cars, his bees and riding his grandchildren around the farm on the four wheeler along with escaping up north to the lake home every chance he could get.

He is survived by his loving wife, Roslyn; step-children, Jason (Traci) Krieg, Lori Ann (David) McCloud, Matthew (Andrea) Jessmon; eight (8) Grandchildren, Thomas Jessmon, Brandon McCloud, Bryce McCloud, Ava Jessmon, Addison Jessmon, Brody McCloud, Jacob Krieg and Riley Krieg; sister, Bernice Stykemain and brother, David (Diane) Briskey.

Services were held privately at St Anthony Catholic Church, on Tuesday May 19, 2020, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Robert Slaton. Honor Corp and Military Honors were also bestowed on Michael. Interment was private and officiated by Fr Brian Hurley at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.  Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Church of Padua Catholic Church,  St Anthony Rd, Temperance, MI 48182.  Arrangements entrusted to Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis. Ave. Temperance, MI.
