Tim Adams, 66 years, of Ottawa Lake, MI passed away Friday, April 8, 2016 in Fountain View of Monroe after a 7 ½ year battle with cancer. Tim owned and operated Adams Wallpapering and Painting for 33 years. Through long hours and hard work he developed a very successful business with an outstanding reputation. He retired in 2013 to enjoy spending more time with his grandchildren.
The oldest of 11 children, he was born May 5, 1949 to Richard and Rita (Metz) Adams in Toledo. Tim attended grade school at St. Clements Catholic School and was a 1967 graduate of Whitmer High School.
He married Linda K. SavageFebruary 20, 1971. For many years, Tim and Linda spent their anniversaries cruising the Caribbean.
Tim enjoyed golfing, bowling, fishing, camping, and watching his favorite sports teams, the Detroit Lions, Tigers, Redwings, and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. As a Moose member, he enjoyed his weekly golf league and meeting up with friends. Tim loved the annual family vacations to Disney World or camping in Mohican and he loved his M&M’s. He was very proud of his 6 grandchildren and attended as many sporting contests he could; basketball, volleyball, softball, and hockey games.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Linda; daughters, Crystal Adams- (Robert) Krueger, Lynn M. (Rory) Hammerstrom, Jennifer Adams; grandchildren, Megan and Matthew Krueger, Katherine Lipp, Keira, Cole, and Allison Griffith; sisters, Kathleen Haas, Deborah Downy, Cheryl (Arkie) Christy, Sandra Adams, Rita Lenhart; brothers, Gary (Joanne), Richard, Jeffery (Stephanie) Adams; and many nieces and nephews left to cherish memories of “Uncle Tim”. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Rebecca Adams and Bonita Chappelle.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Friday, April 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Temperance where there will be visiting after 10:00 a.m.
