Louis “Lou” Andrews Jr. was a caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. He left this world unexpectedly on February 25, 2024 at the age of 75, surrounded by loving family.
He was born on June 16, 1948 in Toledo, OH to Mildred (Ferrin) and Louis Andrews Sr. He graduated from Whitmer High School in 1967. Lou worked in the Washington Local Schools before eventually retiring from The Toledo hospital in 2013. Lou was happily married to Lou Ann (Burgy) Andrews for 54 years. They had four children, Kerry, Lisa, Jason, and Nathan.
A helpful and caring individual, Lou was always a person you could depend on. He was quick- witted and always had a bad dad joke to tell. He enjoyed traveling with his family to Myrtle Beach and Disney. After retirement, Lou and his wife would spend their winters in Florida. Lou enjoyed golfing, assembling puzzles, watching Chelsea FC soccer as well as Colorado and Michigan Football. He had a soft spot for all animals but was most fond of his dogs Max, Duffy, and Daisy, as well as the squirrels that he fed daily.
Lou is survived by his loving wife, Lou Ann; children, Kerry (Ed) Gozdowski, Lisa (Matt) Parker, Jason (Jeanette) Andrews and Nathan (Ben) Andrews; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Jessica and Andrew; siblings, Stephen (Mary) Andrews, Melinda (Gary) Parkinson and Don (Linda) Andrews and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
