Samuel Thomas Slandzicki, age 40, passed away on March 12, 2026. He was born on July 6, 1985, and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Sam was preceded in death by his mother, Judith Johnston, by only five days. They shared a deeply special bond and are now reunited together in heaven.
Sam is survived by his beloved father, Gary (Shelly) Slandzicki; his admired brother, Scott (Braelie) Slandzicki; his precious nephews, Maverick and Maddox Slandzicki; his treasured aunt, Jerianne Johnston; his cherished cousin, Sarah Wilson Hyde; and many loving extended family members and dear friends.
Sam had a heart that naturally drew people in. He never met a stranger, only friends he hadn’t yet connected with. Known for his gentle spirit, uplifting presence, and a sense of humor that would brighten your day, Sam brought joy to the lives of all who knew him.
Sam found beauty in the simple and meaningful moments of life. He had a profound connection with nature and especially loved spending time fishing. He also had a deep appreciation for music. Whether he was listening to his favorite songs or playing his guitar, piano, or any other instrument he could get his hands on, music was not just something he enjoyed; it was a reflection of who he was.
Sam’s life was marked by the relationships he built and the encouragement he gave so freely. His presence brought comfort, his words brought hope, and his friendship left a lasting impact on many.
Though his time here was far too short, the love he shared and the memories he created will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI. Arrangements for Sam’s celebration of life are being made for the summer. Details will be released soon. Online condolences may be shared at www.bedfordfuneralchapel.com.
