Jacob Crandall

Posted 11/12/2020

Jacob was born in Toledo, OH and was living in Belair Beach, FL. Jake did construction work but art was his passion. He had an everlasting smile, a huge heart and a deep soul. He called himself a nomad and a Momma's boy no matter how old he was. The sunshine and beach called his name since he was young. He loved children especially his baby girl, Silas and late son, Solomon and his niece and nephews. He lit up around them.

He was known as the skater, he always had a board and a backpack with him. His brother, Adam was always his protector. Jake had the ability to make everyone around him laugh, he was the class clown. He was always the charmer with the ladies no matter their age, he would make them feel beautiful. His heart was so huge. Jake passed after a long battle with heart complications from an evil addiction. His light and love was no match. He was so excited to finally overcome his battle and move back home, but his body wasn't. The damage to his heart was too great. He spent more time in hospitals in the past two years then out. He was admitted to Largo Medical September 21, 2020, the day his Pappa passed. He was discharged seven weeks and  two open heart surgeries later on November 6, 2020 and passed of post surgical complications on November 7, 2020.

Jake is survived by his mom, Janelle (Poitinger) DeFelice; dad, Charles (Marlene) Crandall; daughter, Silas (her adoptive parents, Tyler and Nicole Averett and Tyler Tate); brother, Adam (Jackie) Crandall; girlfriend, Lisa Haar; niece and nephews, Jameson, Anna, Edmund, Gideon; grandma, Marla "Nana" Poitinger; aunts and uncles, Steve (Connie) Poitinger, Patti-Jo Evans, Kevin (Tammy) Poitinger, John (Michael Hentges) Crandall, Brad (Laura) Crandall; cousins, Bo Pearl, Emily Pearl, Audrey Pearl, Autumn Poitinger, Lauren Poitinger, Kent Poitinger, Cecelia Crandall, Carson Crandall; and many extended family members.
