Mary Helen Hughes, 90 years, of Sylvania, OH passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Lakes of Sylvania. A homemaker most of her life, Mary was born on September 9, 1931 in Detroit, MI to Arthur and Agnes (Lippanen) Naath. January 21, 1952, she married J. Reid Hughes and he preceded her in death on February 8, 1990.
Mary liked to travel with her favorite destination being Maui, Hawaii, making numerous trips there. She always commented on how beautiful the flowers were. She enjoyed playing Uno, going to garage sales, shopping, and going out to lunch with her daughters.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Sharon Dazell, Cynthia (David) Duhaime, Susan White (Jeff Ries); grandchildren, Teresa (Fred) Marshall, Kelly Dazell (Katie Murdock), Alex (Michelle) Duhaime; brother, Donald Naath; 2 great-grandsons, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. Burial at Whiteford Union Cemetery will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
