Nancy J. Slovak, 77 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away Thursday, January 8, 2015 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo. Nancy had worked as a secretary for many years. The daughter of John and Helen (Swiatecki) Klosinski, she was born September 14, 1937 in Toledo. August 12, 1977 she married Richard “”Dick”” Slovak.
Nancy enjoyed riding her Harley motorcycle with her husband, going to the lake, traveling, reading, and doing crossword puzzles. She was a longtime active member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance where she served on the funeral luncheon committee.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dick; children, Jamie (Terri) Kuebbeler, Denise (Barry) McManaman, Dawn (John) LePla; step-children, Jennifer (Dave) Disbennett, Julie (Jim) Vincent, Nicki (Rob) Goodrich; brothers, Tom Klosinski, John Klosinski; sister, Peggy Klosinski Mills; 22 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Michael Kuebbeler.
Visitation will be Monday, January 12, 2015 from 2 p.m. until 8 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church where she will lie in state after 10 a.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family would like to thank all of the nurses and aides at Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their kind compassion and care for Nancy. Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
