Alice Jeannette Shaw, 78 years old, of Lambertville, MI passed away early morning on July 4, 2016 in the care of Ebeid Hospice. Alice was born on August 5, 1937 and was raised by Kathryn and John Cutsinger in Toledo, OH. She attended Woodward High School and shortly thereafter married the love of her life Kenneth B. Shaw Jr. on December 4, 1954. They shared sixty one years together, building a home, family and great love.
Alice was very artistic and this showed through her home to which she took great pride. She enjoyed learning many things from her Grandma Watt such as cooking, canning, crocheting and sewing and passed down these passions to her own children. Alice’s children believe her home cooked meals and canning made them the healthy people they are today. Her favorite holiday was Halloween and she enjoyed making popcorn balls, caramel apples and homemade costumes for her children which they loved and sometimes one was made for a friend or two. Aside from being a homemaker and raising her children, Alice worked with the Census Bureau, Elections Board and retired from the Food Town in Lambertville as the head of the floral department, where she had fun working with her coworkers and had many loyal customers.
The family would like to express their thanks to all who helped in the care of Alice, especially her granddaughter Natalie.
Survived by her loving husband Kenneth, her five loving children; Pamela (Anthony) Zglinski, Karen Haman, Kenneth III (Rhonda), Cynthia (Michael) Donforio and Jeannette Hendrien; ten grandchildren; Renee, Stephanie, Katie, Ronald Jr, Natalie, Matthew, Zachary, Jordan, Joshua, Samantha and eight great-grandchildren; Quentin, Alec, Brant, Quinn, Adam, Alex, Isaac, and Joseph. Alice is also survived by her brother Roger (Patricia) Cutsinger and sister-in-law Patricia Spychalski, our Aunt Judy Wright, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
