Ann Marie Rice

It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Ann Marie (Kolinski) Rice on January 22, 2022. She passed away surrounded by her family after a brief illness. She was born May 19, 1960 to Bernie and Joanne (Nyks) Kolinski.

She is preceded in death by her father, Bernie and her brother, Michael. She is survived by her husband Gary; children, Sarah, Luke, Katie, Sean and mother, Joanne.

Her compassion for others was exemplified in her choice of her career, nursing. She graduated from St. Vincent School of nursing and remained a nurse throughout her working years. She was the type of person who placed the needs of others above her own. She frequently assisted and donated food to the Catholic Sisters. But she shunned the spotlight, preferring that her charitable deeds went unrecognized. She was a happy, joyous person who liked to make people laugh. She never let her own struggles get the better of her.

Her favorite pursuits were knitting, gardening, playing word games, such as Scrabble and Words with Friends, and spending time with her family, whom she adored.

Visitation will be Sunday, January 30, 2022 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, January 31, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in GESU Catholic Church, Toledo, where she will lie in state at 10:00 a.m. Burial will be Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Temperance.
