Audrey Marie Born

Audrey Marie Born, 68 years, of Ottawa Lake, MI passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 21, 2024 in her home under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Ronald and Shirley (Burgard) Carmichael, she was born on October 9, 1955 in Toledo, OH.

Known as a sassy woman, Audrey fiercely loved her family. A lover of all animals, she was a mom to 3 dogs and 4 birds. Audrey was a very creative individual who enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, painting, basket weaving and making porcelain dolls. She also taught line dancing and collected antiques. She loved living in her country home built by her husband Bill surrounded by trees and her wildflower gardens. Her spirit will forever be reflected in her creations.

Audrey is survived by her loving husband, William “Bill” Born; son, Kyle Born; mother, Shirley Carmichael; granddaughter, Ava Wilhelm-Born; brothers, Edward (Melody) Carmichael and Paul (Tammie) Carmichael; sister, Anne (John) Montion and many nieces and nephews who referred to Audrey as the “Favorite Aunt.” She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald and daughter, Lyndsey Born.

Visitation will be Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 8330 Lewis Ave. Temperance where there will be visiting in the Narthex after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery, Sylvania, OH.

Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Children’s Hospital.
