Bernard "Dick" Richard Kenny

Bernard “Dick” Richard Kenny, 83 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, in his home surrounded by family. The son of Bernard and Genevieve (Long) Kenny he was born July 20, 1940 in Chicago, IL.

Dick married Susan Schings, the love of his life, on August 9, 1969. Together, they enjoyed baseball and attended many Toledo Mud Hens and Detroit Tigers games over the years. They also enjoyed traveling, theater, and golfing.

Dick retired from Soave Enterprises as the Executive Vice President of Non-Ferrous Metal Division of Ferrous Processing and Trading. Prior to that, he spent most of his career with US Reduction in Toledo, OH.

He is survived by his children, Debra (Bryan) Roth, Dawn (Kevin) Meyer and Richard (Mariah Caris) Kenny; grandchildren, Ashley Roth, Cara Roth, Tyler (Morgan) Pier, Austin (Mackenzie) Pier, Brandon Meyer and great-grandchildren, William, Claire, Chloe, Cate and Harrison Pier. He was preceded in death by his wife, Susan; brother, Robert Kenny and son-in-law, Kevin Meyer.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where a celebration of life will be held Wednesday, January 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Our Lady of Mt.
