Bonnie Frances Klawitter, born in Toledo, OH, on May 13,1949, passed away peacefully in her Temperance, MI home on October 17, 2024. She was 75 years old. She was surrounded by her family. Bonnie was loved by so many. Everyone that knew her, loved her. She had a genuine heart and a smile that lit up every room.
Bonnie spent most of her life as a bank teller at Key Bank. She was well known around her community. She enjoyed being at the lake, fishing, playing games, shopping and most of all being with her family. Her sense of humor was unlike any other. Her ability to remember almost everything seemed like a super power. She was witty, clever and creative. She was also selfless and kind. She was a friend to everyone. Bonnie was resilient and overcame many challenges that she faced in her life. Her strength was admirable and her heart was pure.
Bonnie was a loving wife and married her childhood sweetheart, James, in 1967. They were together for 57 years. Their love was unlike any other. Her biggest blessing and accomplishment in life was being a mother to her amazing children, James, Jill and Jennifer. Bonnie had 7 grandchildren and 2 great- grandchildren whom she cherished and loved very much.
Bonnie is survived by her loving husband, James Klawitter; son, James Klawitter (Tracy), daughter, Jill Weiner (Phil); her 7 grandchildren, Alex Weiner (Mandy), Taylor Butler, Victoria Corbine, Brooke Pavone (Michael), Riley Klawitter, Camryn Weiner, Tessa Corbine; and 2 great-grandchildren, Cora and Gia. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jennifer Corbine; mother, Edna (Roach) Wagner and father, Roy Wagner.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Bonnie’s life at a visitation on Wednesday, October 23, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
