Christina Maddaluno

Christina Marie Maddaluno, 51 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away tragically and unexpectedly on Saturday,  July 21, 2018.  Christina was born in Toledo, OH on May 19, 1967 and graduated from St. Ursula Academy with honors in 1985.

Christina is survived by her husband who loved, cherished, and adored his bride of 31 years Marcel; loving mother to Dante, Gabriella, Andre and Sophia Maddaluno; daughter of Frank Mohr and Barbara Socha ; sister to Dr. Shari (Joe) Sontchi, Barbara (Jeff) Johnson, Michelle Mohr; daughter-in-law to Marcello Maddaluno and Bernice Nemeth; sister-in-law of Cynthia (Ronald) Ciancutti.  Beloved Aunt of 10 nieces and nephews; 16 great nieces and nephews who loved their Aunt Tina all of their young lives.

Christina was a fun, loving, and devoted mother and her children loved her dearly in return.  Throughout their lives she made each and every birthday, holiday and milestone accomplishment an event to remember. Christina’s love for babies, dogs, and animals of all kind made her much like a “Disney character come to life,” as she made peanut butter sandwiches with an assortment of berries for dessert every morning and loved to watch the squirrels, cardinals and blue jays enjoy their feast.

She had an intelligent inquisitive mind and never stopped learning throughout her life.  She was an accomplished cook learning traditional Italian recipes from Marcel’s Grandmother Ellena, and was passionate about the beautiful flowers she cultivated every year admired by all.  When Christina met the love of her life it was love at first sight for Marcel as he vowed to himself he would “marry that girl,” asked her for a lunch date, and they were wed on the one-year anniversary of that first date beginning a 32 year love affair that ended far too soon.

God gained a beautiful angel to join him in heaven, leaving countless broken hearts here on earth. Christina will be loved, revered and missed by all who knew her for all the days of our lives.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 27, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 8330 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI where she will lie in state after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery Sylvania, OH. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
