Daniel R. Cairl, 72 years, of Temperance, MI passed away December 26, 2015 in Magnum Care & Rehab of Monroe. The son of Raymond and Amelia “”Josie”” (Selmek) Cairl, he was born February 19, 1943 in Toledo, OH. Daniel served for four years in the United States Air Force. He was an Electrician and a member of IBEW Local 8 since 1974. Dan was a man of great faith, loved being outdoors, especially camping and boating.
He is survived by his uncle, Zenon (Sherry) Selmek; aunts, Pat (Thomas) Selmek, Pat (Zephryn) Selmek and numerous loving Cousins and Friends. He also leaves behind his miserable mutt Bruiser who will be taken care of by his friend Judy Grochowski. He was preceded by his parents.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 31, 2015 at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Temperance, MI where a Funeral Mass will follow at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Erie with military honors conducted by Lambertville VFW Post #9656. My dear friend of 60 years - how I will miss you. I'm so glad we had our last few visits together. No words can ever describe how much I loved you as my true friend.
