With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to David Allen Schultz, a much-loved son, brother, uncle, and great-uncle who passed away on September 28, 2026. The son of Daniel and Mary Ann (Kalucki) Schultz, he was born October 10, 1963 in Toledo.
David was a quiet man who found contentment in the peaceful, simple things in life. He loved camping in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, boating and fishing with family on summer days, or sitting beside a campfire whether on a camping trip or in his own backyard.
While living in Palm Beach, Florida, David earned a master’s degree in social work from Barry University. He retired after 26 years of serving others as a Supervising Probation Officer for the Lucas County Common Pleas Court.
David will be remembered as a man who preferred a quiet campsite to a crowded room.
He was devoted to family; especially his nieces and nephews who brought him so much happiness.
He is survived by his father, Daniel Schultz Sr.; siblings, Donna Baird (Paul Finch) Baird, Dan (Julie) Schultz Jr., Diane (Mike) Reymann; nieces and nephews, Brigitte Schultz (Brandon Henry), Danny Schultz III, Sara Schultz, James Schultz, Abigail Reymann, Patrick Reymann, Grace (Kevin) Kapela; and great-nephew, Jack Kapela.
He was preceded in death by his mother, MaryAnn Schultz and nephew, Michael Reymann Jr.
In keeping with David’s preference for simplicity, there will be no funeral services. He will be remembered with love in the hearts of the family who will miss him so very much.
Arrangements were entrusted to Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project.
