David Warren Woodson Sr.

David W. Woodson, Sr., 91 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Saturday, November 2, 2024 in Aspen Grove Assisted Living in Lambertville. Born February 7, 1933 and raised in Leavenworth, KS, he was the son of John O’Leary and Evalyn Woodson, moving to Temperance in 1971. A U.S. Air Force veteran, David worked for nearly 50 years as a dental technician.

August 30, 1952, he married his high school sweetheart, Frances Leintz. She preceded him in death in 2023 after 71 years.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing in his younger years. Known as an extremely hard worker, he also enjoyed coaching his son’s sports in baseball and basketball for many years. Never missing his grandchildren’s sporting events, David was always there for his family, if anything was needed.

He is survived by children, David (Robin) Woodson, Jr., Steve Woodson, Susan Merzke, Dana (Christine) Woodson, Scott Woodson; 9 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was also preceded in death by his 2 grandchildren, Samantha and Adam Woodson; son-in-law, Mark Merzke; and daughter-in-law, Beth Woodson.

Services and burial will be private. Arrangements entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.
