Donald “Don” Grenier, 69 years, of Toledo, OH passed away surrounded by his family on October 19, 2023 after a brave battle with glioblastoma. The son of Donald and Marilyn (Beallas) Grenier he was born on October 6, 1954 in Toledo, OH. He was a loving and cherished father, grandfather, brother, uncle and husband to his late wife.
He is survived by his daughters, Karrie (John) Jackson, Krista Bradley and Ashley (James) Jones; grandchildren, Nicholas (Lorisa) Lovett, Courtney Lovett, Paige Lovett, Nate Foster, Laine Jones and Elliett Jones; great-grandchildren, Ellah, Nicholas Jr, Jimyiah and Paisley; and sister, Debra (Kenn)Nowaczyk.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Teresa (Oswald); parents; sister, Barbara Antoine; and mother-in-law,Earlenia Oswald.
Don was a tool and die machinist by trade. Ultimately, he was an entrepreneur at heart and he owned and operated Ashco Manufacturing until he “retired.”
Upon retirement and in his free time, Don enjoyed boating, fishing, hiking, cheering on his Michigan Wolverines and Green Bay Packers and spending time with his family. He could also be found flipping pancakes at Salem Lutheran Church on Saturday mornings, to serve a homecooked meal to those in need.
Visitation will be Monday, October 30, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where Riverview Yacht Club will hold a service at 7:00 p.m. followed by the funeral service at 7:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donating clothing, canned goods, money or time to:
