Earl Robert Rogge, 86 years, of Temperance, MI passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 6, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. Born on March 3, 1939 in Toledo, OH to Paul and Lavina (CaHow) Rogge, Earl grew up in Toledo and attended Bedford High School. He left school during his 11th grade year to help support his family, embodying a strong work ethic that would define his life.
Earl married Joanne Doris Boice on February 9, 1963 and together they built a life filled with love and devotion and were blessed with 3 children, Rob, Tim, and April.
A skilled and dedicated brick mason, he operated his own business, Rogge Masonry, and later worked with S.A. Storer & Sons Co. His craftmanship left a lasting impact on notable projects including the University of Toledo and the Toledo Zoo Amphitheater.
Outside of work, Earl found joy in bowling, Sudoku, and Euchre, but his greatest passion was golf, a game he loved and played whenever he could.
Earl is survived by his loving children, Rob (Pam) Rogge, Tim (Carla) Rogge, April Soss; grandchildren, MaLinda, Jesse, Kayleigh, Noah, Frankie, Kiersten; great-granddaughter, Arayah; sister, Sandy; and many cherished friends and extended family.
He was preceded in death by his parents; beloved wife, Joanne; siblings, Larry, Jerry, Ron, Don, Butch, Sharon, and son-in-law, Frank Soss.
Visitation will be from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 14, 2025 in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery. In memory of what Earl would want casual attire is encouraged.
