Eloise Mae Roberts, 90 years, of Monroe, MI passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in her home. The daughter of Lloyd and Phoebe (Osborn) Couture she was born August 14, 1925 in Samaria, MI.
She married the love of her life, “Gene” Roberts, in 1944, while he was home on leave from the service, in World War II. She and Gene loved the water: fishing swimming, and boating. She also love bird and duck watching, and gardening, sewing, and made beautiful quilts, and cross stitch items. She had volunteered her time at Mercy Memorial Hospital, as an aid.
She dearly loved her family and will be greatly missed by her daughters, Nancy (David) Baronas, JoAnn (Scott) Smith; 5 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley “Gene” Roberts in 1989.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 22, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI where a Memorial Service will be held Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors.
