Evelyn M. (Loga) Cowell, 87 years, of Temperance, MI went home to be with the Lord on October 4, 2017 in St. Anne Mercy Hospital surrounded by her family. The daughter of Arthur and Florence (White) Loga, she was born on February 23, 1930 in Toledo, OH.
Evelyn married Ernest W. Cowell Sr. on June 7, 1947 and were married for 62 years, 7 months, 14 days until he passed away on January 21, 2010. She owned and operated her own cleaning service for over 30 years retiring in 2003. Evelyn was always helping others. She enjoyed taking pictures, gardening, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren. She was also member of Compelled Church in Temperance.
Evelyn is survived by her children, Ronald Cowell, Janice Hudson, Steve (Sherry) Cowell and Ernest (Bill) Cowell; grandchildren, Amy Cowell, Erik (Katie) Cowell, Tina Hudson, Thomas (Marsha) Hudson, Annie Temple, Arron (Tonia) Cowell, Steve Cowell and Kale Lohmann; 11 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be Monday, October 9, 2017 from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI where the funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery. I am so sorry to hear of your loss of your Mom. You will remember how much I really liked her when Pat and I lived at Iver Lindsey housing in the corner apartment a few units away from you and your Mom. I always wished your Mom and my Mom could have met.
