Frances Mae Scheuerman, 87 years, of Monroe, MI passed away on her birthday, Monday, February 21, 2022 in Kingston of Sylvania, Sylvania, OH.
A substitute teacher, she taught at Bedford Public Schools and the surrounding area schools for many years.
The daughter of Benjamin and Hazel (Mills) Harrison she was born February 21, 1935 in Dundee, MI. A 1953 graduate of DeVilbiss High School, she continued her education and graduated from Mary Manse College with a bachelor’s degree in education.
Frances loved art and was an avid painter. She enjoyed camping, eating out at restaurants, and most of all, spending time with her family.
She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, William G. Scheuerman; children, Vicki (LeLand) Ritter, Sandi (Kenneth) Foster, Gregory (Ginger) Scheuerman, Terri (Gary) DeLand, Sherri (Cort) Bailey, Kenneth (Tina) Scheuerman; 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; sister, Judy Schroder and brother, Joe Harrison. She is preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Norma Beaver, Clella Schibenzuber and brother, Billy Harrison.
Visitation will be Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. The funeral mass will be celebrated Thursday, February 24, 2022 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Temperance at 11:00 a.m. where she will lie in state in the narthex after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Catholic Cemetery, Temperance. Donations may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church.
