Guillermo “”Memo”” Martinez Jr., 60 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away January 15, 2016 in The University of Michigan Hospital. The son of Guillermo and Catalina (Maya) Martinez Sr., he was born September 18, 1955 in Tampico, Mexico.
Guillermo received his Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois. Memo enjoyed traveling, his wife’s cooking, golfing with his sons, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a devoted father and derived great joy coaching his sons baseball teams.
He is survived by his loving wife Eva; sons, Eric, Christian (Katrina) Martinez and Andrew (Kasey) Martinez; grandchildren, Sofia, Grace, Charlotte, Connor; parents Guillermo Sr. and Catalina; siblings, Patricia (Luis) Alvarez, Ezequiel Martinez, Cristina Martinez, Blanca (Patrick) Ryan and Ricardo Martinez. He is also survived by his loving in-laws, nieces, nephews, and a host of lifelong friends.
A memorial gathering will be held on Monday, February 1, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. where a memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 2, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Online condolences may be shared at www.bedfordfuneralchapel.com
