Hannah graced this world with her presence on August 13, 2022. From the day she was born, Hannah was a very content and happy baby, rarely did she fuss or cry, and she amazed us with how well she slept through the day and night. At only five days old she was diagnosed with Krabbe Disease, which quickly turned everyone’s’ lives upside down. Hannah only spent a short time of her life at home, but the University of Michigan Mott’s Children’s Hospital became her home away from home. Hannah banana was well known for her beautiful big blue eyes, with her ability to lock eye contact and sweetly smile at you or give a strong side eye glare to those at her bedside. She had a touch of red in her full head of hair, which everyone acquainted with her feisty and sassy attitude. Hannah was so strong and fought so hard through every battle she faced during her bone marrow transplant journey. She stole the hearts of every person that met her, brought so many people together, and created a family of support so much larger than anyone could have ever imagined. Although we may not understand why her presence on Earth was so short, we do know that she was so incredibly loved. Under comfort care at University of Michigan Mott’s, Hannah passed away in the arms of her parents on January 13, 2023 at five months old. She is now living a life full of peace and comfort with God.
