Henry Vernon Byers, 69 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on Sunday March 6, 2016 at Flower Hospital. Henry was born in Toledo, OH on March 2, 1947.
He was a US Army Veteran during the Vietnam War. Henry retired from GM Powertrain after 31 years. A loving husband and father he will be greatly missed.
Henry is survived by the love of his life for over 32 years Tracy (Patterson) Byers; Children Amy Jones, Jennifer (Scott Humphrey) King, Violet (Lucas Sr.) Carpenter; brother, Milyn Byers; sisters, Anna Byers, Elodie Eckenrode; 8 grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Violet (Earl) Byers and brothers, Arthur VerStraete and Merlyn Byers.
A memorial gathering will be held on Thursday March 10, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. where a memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. with Military Honors conducted by the Lambertville VFW Post 9656.
