It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our sister, Holly Renee (Baker) Carver who passed away with family at her side on Sunday, May 14, 2023 at her home under the care of Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
The daughter of Eugene and Beverly (Spiess) Baker she was born on December 10, 1955 in Toledo, OH. She grew up in Monroe, MI and was a 1974 graduate of Monroe High School. Her adventurous spirit led her to work for the Federal Highway Administration working on projects in Arizona, Utah, and Colorado among other western locations. She returned to Michigan in 1997 and began a new career working as a senior account manager at USI (formerly Brooks Insurance) until her retirement in 2020.
Holly loved animals and leaves behind her cherished cat, Romeo. Holly is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Valerie (Baker) Webster. She is survived by her sister, Christine (Baker) Goodell (Mike); brother, Joel Baker (Judy); nephews, Nicholas Duvall, Justin Baker, Eric Bradford, Ryan Webster; nieces, Jessica Baker, Kris Goodell and Amy Fricke. Her friend and former husband, John Carver; stepchildren, James Carver and Misty Lenzi and her dear best friend, Jan Hatcher.
We would like to thank the wonderful and caring staff of Hospice of Northwest Ohio and a special thank you to her nurses, Rachel and Kathy.
The family will be holding a private service to honor Holly. Any donations on her behalf can be made to the Humane Society. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.
