James Andrew Stevens, Sr., 51 years, passed away on Tuesday, May 19, 2020 in his home in Temperance, MI. He was born on August 12, 1968 in Toledo, OH to parents, Carl W. and Betty L. (Krzeminski) Stevens, Jr., who survive.
James was in the waste service most of his life. He owned JAS Waste and JAS Services for lawn and snow removal and was currently working for Stevens Disposal. He had attended Bedford High School. He loved spending time with family, going to the lake and cooking for others.
He was a loving father of 4 children, Alicha M. (Austin) Lett, James A. Stevens, Jr., Savanna M. Stevens, and Jaslynn N. Stevens; loving grandfather of 3 grandchildren, Molly, Blair, and Dalton; brother of 8 siblings, Carl (Wendy) Stevens, III, Pierre (Amy) Stevens, Katherine Schlegel, Steven (Julie) Stevens, Timothy (Tracy) Stevens, Thomas (Teri) Stevens, Amy (John) Branham, and Ronald Theiss.
James was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl W. and Juanita (Roth) Stevens, Sr., Stanley J. and Betty L. (Pugsley) Krzeminski; aunt, Anna Krzeminski; uncles, Stanley J. Krzeminski, Edmond J. Krzeminski; cousins, Jeffrey A. Schmidt, Paul A. Stevens Jr. and Michael E. Krzeminski.
Visitation with social distancing guidelines will be held Thursday, May 28, 2020 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. Cremation will follow.
