Joanne Marie Smith

Joanne Marie Smith, 87 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at Hickory Ridge of Temperance, MI. The daughter of Angelo and Anna (Gallo) Lauria she was born on September 2, 1935 in Toledo, OH.

Joanne married the love of her life Donald Smith on September 3, 1955, he preceded her in death on November 14, 2012.

Joanne was the center of her family. She was loved greatly by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and her grand pups. After her marriage to Don, she worked for a local bank in Toledo. She then became a homemaker. Joanne and Don owned a laundromat in Toledo. She enjoyed time with her family, she loved playing cards and bunco. They enjoyed many summers at their cottage on Bird Lake, square dancing, camping, and traveling country wide.

Joanne is survived by her children, Cathy (Charlie) McHugh, Donald (Diane) Smith and Jennifer (James) Krzyston; grandchildren, Melissa (Chris), Meranda (Chad), Jamie (James), Josh, Kellie, Lacie, Alexa, and Emmah, great-grandchildren, Chloe, Kalieb, Chad Jr, Caden, Easton, Jace, Kinley, Maggie and Axel. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Marian, Carmella “Millie”, Lillian and Samuel “Tuttie”.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 15, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 16, 2023 in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 8330 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI. at 11:00 a.m. where visiting will begin in the narthex after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Toledo Memorial Park Cemetery Sylvania, OH.
