It is with great sadness that our son, John William Keane, 50 years, of Temperance, MI passed away and is now in the presence of the Lord on April 9, 2024, surrounded by his family. The son of John Keane and Cecile Paul he was born on September 25, 1973 in Toledo, OH.
John graduated from Bedford high school in 1991, where he enjoyed wrestling and other sports. He continued his education in Pittsburg attending culinary school. The head chef at the Irish Eyes Restaurant in Toledo. John currently was employed by Costco as the supervisor of their bakery in Perrysburg.
John was an avid disc golfer. He helped develop a disc golf community in the Temperance, Lambertville, and Toledo area.John loved music, comics, and movies. He was a huge Michigan and Red Wings fan. John was known as a kind and gentle person. Who would give the shirt off his back to anyone. All of his friends viewed him more like a brother and had too many friends to count.
John is survived by his father, John Keane; mother, Cecile (Mike Babcock) Paul; siblings, Sean Keane, Katlyn Lemons, Kyle Lemons, Amanda (Rosendo) Ramirez, Robert “BJ” Wilkins, Michelle (Wilkins) McElroy, Jeff Ott and Jamie Brescol; multiple aunts and uncles, a long list of cousins as well as several of his nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his step mothers, Lora and Donna, grandparents, aunts and uncles, a few close friends and a couple of his beloved pets.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Compelled Church8970 Jackman Road Temperance, MI on May 11, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Luncheon to follow the service. All friends, family and co-workers are welcome to join. Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.
