Joseph Manuel Cayuela, 86 years, of Lambertville, MI and formerly of Clarkston, MI died Friday, September 12, 2014 in The Toledo Hospital, Toledo, OH. A Certified Gemologist Appraiser and watchmaker, Joe retired from Dobie Jewelers in Royal Oak where he was employed for many years.
The son of Jose and Ethel (Sposita) Cayuela he was born September 10, 1928 in Ralphton, PA.
He was a member of the Royal Oak Rotary Club and had served as their president.
Joe is survived by his loving wife of over 40 years, Donna (Dery) Cayuela; sons, Joseph M. Cayuela and Matthew M. Cayuela; daughter, Donna M. (Robert) Widmer; 3 grandchildren, Andrew Cayuela, Luke Joseph Widmer, and Claire Elizabeth Widmer. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Matthew M. Cayuela.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 11 AM in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenue, Temperance, MI, where there will be visiting in the Narthex after 10 AM.
