Joseph “Joe” Ornosky, 82 years, of Temperance, MI passed away peacefully on July 29, 2026, with his beloved wife, Joyce, by his side.
Born on January 12, 1944 to the late Joseph and Phyllis (Theisen) Ornosky in Monroe, MI. He was a proud graduate of Monroe High School in Monroe, Michigan, before honorably serving his country in the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1965. Following his military service, Joe built a long and dedicated career with Ford Motor Company until his retirement.
Joe found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was known for his quick wit and love of telling jokes, always ready to bring a smile to those around him. He took great pride in being a kind and dependable neighbor, someone people could always count on. He especially enjoyed tending to the beautiful roses that he and Joyce lovingly cared for together. A stop at Tim Hortons was one of his favorite daily traditions, where he enjoyed good coffee and friendly conversation.
In 2022, Joe married the love of his life, Joyce. Their years together were filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion. Joe adored Joyce and never missed an opportunity to tell her she was “beautiful.”
Whether it was bringing home another piece of décor for their deck or simply making sure she knew how much she meant to him, Joe expressed his love through both words and thoughtful gestures. He embraced Joyce’s family as his own and found immense joy in being part of the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Joe treasured the special place they held in his heart. Joyce cared for Joe with extraordinary love and compassion throughout his illness and remained faithfully by his side until his peaceful passing—a testament to the remarkable bond they shared.
Joe will be remembered for his gentle spirit, infectious sense of humor, generous heart, and unwavering kindness. He proudly served his country, worked hard throughout his life, and found happiness in caring for his roses, making people laugh, spending time with the woman he loved, and embracing the family that meant so much to them both. His legacy is one of love, laughter, friendship, and quiet acts of generosity, and he will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
The family extends their heartfelt gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time. Though Joe has left this world, the laughter he shared, the kindness he showed, and the love he so freely gave—especially to his beautiful Joyce—will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him forever.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Joe’s life with a visitation on Wednesday, August 5, 2026 in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral at 12:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Bedford Memorial Gardens Temperance, MI where Military Honors be conducted by the Lambertville VFW 9656.
