Judith “Judy” A. (Lefever) Stahl, 76 years, passed away peacefully in her home on August 11, 2026 and is now with her Savior and Lord Jesus. Born on February 27, 1950, in Toledo, Ohio to Jay Robert and Margaret Ann Forgette. Judy was adopted at 4 years old by Genevieve and Merle Lefever.
Judy graduated from Whitmer High School class of 1968 and was part of the first cosmetology program there. Over the years, Judy was a hairdresser and later went to school to become a nurse. She worked at Flower Hospital and Toledo Hospital before finishing up her career at local Doctor offices as an assistant.
Judy went on to marry her soulmate Robert Carl Stahl on July 19, 1968, eloped in Monroe, Michigan and just recently celebrated their 58th wedding anniversary. She was able to enjoy her 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries. They were celebrated with love with family and friends.
Judy and Robert raised 3 amazing children together, Theresa, Robert and Jay. She loved being a mother to her children and later as a grandmother then a Great Grandmother.
Judy enjoyed family and friends, never meeting a stranger. Judy’s love for the Lord grew over the years of her life. He was her Savior and a central part of her life. She attended a few churches and settled on Morocco United Brethren Church with her husband Robert and found a great family there.
Judy enjoyed her friends Linda Rimmer, Chris LaLonde(deceased), Carol Adams, Barb Murray and Peggy Dusza. Judy cherished the time she spent with her friends. Her hobbies were bible studies, being on prayer team, reading, walking, cooking, baking her famous date nut bread, decorating for the holidays, loving her family and friends, and being a member of the Cadillac LaSalle Club, enjoying their 1948 Cadillac in which they had since 1968. Judy shared many memories with her husband and friends at car shows and tours. She used to cook big meals and was told in another life she must have been a farmer or thresher’s wife, a joke in the family from the aunts.
Judy will be remembered for her warmth, sense of humor and devotion to Jesus and family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert C Stahl; 3 children, Theresa Basilius, Robert W. Stahl and Jay (Brittany) Stahl; 8 grandchildren, Ryan, Ty (Stephanie), Brianne (Gary), Jace, Bryson, Jaxon, Ava and Owen; 3 great-grandchildren, Mariah, Grant and Ryker, sisters, Debbie, Susie and Terry.
