Kevin Edward Carr, 59 years, of Petersburg, MI passed away on Thursday, January 11, 2023 at Trinity Health St. Joseph Ann Arbor Hospital. The youngest child of six to Robert Edward Carr Jr. and Pauline (Jennings) Carr, he was born on March 5, 1963 in Monroe, MI.
Kevin graduated from Monroe High School in 1981. He went on to get a certificate in welding from Monroe County Community College and worked as a welder for many years. A dedicated and hard worker, Kevin took pride in his trade. Kevin was someone reliable that friends and family could always call on for help with household projects. He enjoyed helping others, especially his family, get things done.
A proud Grandpa to Emma, Jaxon, Connor, Olivia and Henry, he enjoyed cheering them on in everything they did. He never missed an opportunity to be at one of their sporting events. Often found behind the lens and bright flash, Kevin enjoyed taking pictures, especially of those he loved.
Kevin is survived by his children, Brian (Raechel) Carr and Amanda (James) Kraemer; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Sandy Gildersleeve and Connie Guy; brothers, Larry Carr and Donny Carr. He is preceded in death by both his parents and sister, Mary Jane Lymond.
A celebration of life will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 4:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI. Cremation has taken place.
