Loren D. Myers, Sr., 73 years, of Adrian, MI passed away Friday, May 26, 2017 in The Toledo Hospital. He retired in 2009 from the Jeep Corporation. The son of Jacob and Dorothy (Holey) Myers he was born October 8, 1943 in Toledo. He graduated from Bedford High School in 1961.
January 23, 1999 he married Edna Matthews.
Loren loved to make people laugh, be around family, and take the grandkids shopping. He enjoyed woodworking and building things. He also collected kites, loved to watch airplanes, and travel. He loved the Lord; tearing up whenever he would talk about him. Loren always did everything “”big””.
He is survived by his loving wife, Edna; 3 children, Loren Jr., Jim, and Tim Myers; 6 stepchildren, Russell (Theresa) Smith, Ronnie Smith, Randy Smith, Diane (Duane) Schmidt, Sandy (Robert) Spain, Connie (Denny) Williams; Siblings, Jacob (Anne) Myers, Bradley (Sara) Myers, DeArle (Betty) Myers, Grace (Robert) Semler, Jeanne (Ken) Meyer; 16 grandchildren, and 28 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Robin (Barbara) Myers, Nathan (Dorothy) Myers, Harry Myers and Dorothy (Lynn) Albring.
Visitation will be Thursday, June 1, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI where the Funeral Service will be held Friday, June 2 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Bedford Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Temperance.
