Margaret Della Edmondson (Ellis) passed away on October 23, 2016 in her home of 46 years at the young age of 87. The daughter of Sam and Lucille Ellis, she was born on November 13, 1928 in Maynardville, TN the same hometown she would meet and later marry her high school sweetheart, Jim Edmondson. Shortly after being married they would move to Toledo, Ohio and start their family.
Margaret worked for and retired from Industrial Enamel in 1979. She would spend her retirement working in her yard, traveling, especially enjoyed trips to Casinos, making crafts even attending craft shows for a while until she was brought out of retirement for a part-time job. Margaret would become a solid fixture at Sidelines where she adored her co-workers and patrons. A kind and generous woman with a wicked sense of humor, if you had the pleasure of working during her 15 years there you were treated to a birthday and Christmas gift each year. The friendships she built stayed with her to the end and of course she had her favorites….you all know who you are! She lived a very full and happy life even while battling and beating breast cancer then succumbing to mesothelioma she was a warrior until the end.
Margaret is survived by her 4 children, Ronnie Edmondson, Charlotte (Jack) Mullins, Jimmy (Linda) Edmondson, Jerry (Jennifer Harpel) Edmondson; a number of loving grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by the love of her life and husband of 70 years Jim Edmondson; parents; 3 brothers and 1 sister.
