Marie Ellison

Marie Ellison, age 87 years, of Toledo, Ohio passed away on August 8, 2016.  She was born on January 23, 1929 to the late Arden and Marie Cone in Cleveland, Ohio. She was a graduate from DeVilbiss High School.  She had just celebrated 60 years of marriage to Gaines Ellison on July 7, 2016.

She stayed at home and raised her two daughters until they were both in high school, then worked at Schill Pattern for 25 years. After retirement, she worked for 5 years at the Children’s Right Council.  She was a member of Mayfair Plymouth Congregational Christian church for over 60 years and was also a member of the Yondota Chapter, Order of the Eastern Stars, and Dendarah Court and Egates of the Ladies Shrine. She loved playing the organ and keyboard, singing in the church choir and doing all kinds of crafts. Marie taught her children and grandchildren the importance of living out their faith in Jesus Christ, and now that faith has brought her home. 

 Marie is survived by her two daughters,  Kay (Mike) Hough and Jamie (James) Dudzik; grandchildren, Jonathan (Mariana Pulgarin) Dudzik, Jeremiah (Sarah) Dudzik, Josiah Dudzik and Joanna Dudzik; three great-grandchildren, Wesley, Tensley and Elora Dudzik; brother, Darwin Cone. She was preceded by her brother, Arden Cone.

 Visitation will be held Sunday August 14, 2016 from 4:00 p.m.  until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI. The funeral service will be held Monday, August 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in Mayfair Plymouth Congregational Church, 5253 Bennett Road Toledo, OH. where additional visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.  In memory of Marie, donations can be given to Mayfair Plymouth Church.
