Marie Nowowiejski passed away on May 17, 2017 in Aspen Grove Assisted Living where she was a resident since May of 2014. She was born in Toledo, Ohio on November 3, 1915 to John and Mary Kempinski. Marie graduated from Woodward High School in 1934. She married the love of her life, Harry Nowowiejski in 1935.She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes, and later St. Clement Church in Toledo, Ohio.
Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harry and daughter, Patricia. She is survived by her sons, Robert (Mary Jean) Newman, Jerry (Nancy) Newman, John (Debbie) Nowowiejski; daughters, Mary Ellen (Chuck) Perryman, Barbara ( Denny) Lump; 15 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
The family would like to thank the caregivers of Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their wonderful care, and Aspen Grove for their time and attention while Marie was a resident.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 8330 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI where the funeral mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Toledo, OH. Those wishing to offer memorials in Marie’s name are asked to donate to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or a charity of your choice.
