Mary Sue Joly, 68 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on Thursday, August 4, 2022 in Hospice of NW Ohio, Toledo, OH. The daughter of L.B. and Marie (Vaughn) Ridner, she was born April 30, 1954 in Pineville, KY. Mary was a devoted wife to Joseph Anthony Joly II for 50 years.
A loving, selfless, and attentive matriarch, Mary always showed extreme pride in her family. Everyone was welcomed in her home, where she would make delicious homemade meals and host family gatherings. Mary was the best mom and grandma who loved hosting cookie decorating days and craft days for her grandchildren. She enjoyed making countless scrapbooks for her loved ones, and making memories traveling with her family to Florida.
She is survived by her loving husband, Joseph; children, Joseph III (Bonnie) Joly, Daniel (Julie) Joly, Sarah (Doug) Andrews; grandchildren, Joey (Kaylee), Isabelle, Robbie, Hannah, Leah, Noah, Lindsey, Jackson, Jonah, and Lilah; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws, Joseph and Mae Joly.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI followed by the celebration of the funeral mass at 12:00 noon in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church. Cremation will follow.
