Mary Clare Wernert, 83 years, of Northwood, OH passed peacefully on November 24, 2018. She was the only child of Francis and Rhea (Velliquette) Tuschner of Chicago, IL. At age 10 the family relocated to Pensacola, FL, where Mary lived until her early 20’s working at the Pensacola Police Department dispatch.
A job opportunity from her cousin brought her up to Toledo, OH where she worked as a court typist for the Toledo court system and then met Leon L. Wernert of Riga, MI.
They married November 23, 1957 and moved to Temperance, MI where they raised their family.
Mary is survived by her four children, Brenda German of Tarpon Springs, FL, Lynda Haney of Oregon, OH, Barry Wernert of Toledo, OH and Wendy (Kenny) Bilbrey of Taylor, MI; 8 loving grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her Husband, Leon.
