Maximillian “Max” Kusz, 81 years, of Lambertville, MI departed this earth on Sunday, March 24, 2024 in Ebeid Hospiceof Northwest Ohio, Sylvania, OH after living a good long life.
The son of Francis and Florence (Radlinski) Kusz he was born July 31, 1942 in Toledo. He proudly served in the U.S. Air Force 1960 through 1964. Max obtained both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Toledo. An engineer, Max had worked in the Closure Division of Owens-Illinois, Inc. for most of his career. He held many patents for his brilliant ideas including the Argus Loc closure.
Surviving is his loving wife of 58 years, Sharon(Malkowski); daughter, Kim (David) Saxton; Son, Greg (Lisa Carlos) Kusz; grandchildren, Tom (Sophie), Katie, Eric and Victoria; great–grandson, Felix; grand–dogs, Bowser, Champ, and Maya; sisters, Virginia Bennett, Florence Sorosiak and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.
A huge Ohio State Buckeyes football fan, Max enjoyed a challenge in repairing things, grilling, and fishing. He looked forward to attending the many concerts, dance recitals, and performances by his grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place. There will be visiting in the Narthex starting at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church 8330 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where a memorial mass will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024. Burial of ashes will follow in the church cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the Lambertville VFW Post 9656.
