Pamela A. Ostermyer, 72, of Temperance, MI, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2023, surrounded by her family.
She was born in Toledo, OH on July 17, 1950 to George Ernest Suhrbier Jr. and Grace Elaine Mull. She graduated fromBedford Senior High School in 1968. She married the love of her life, Thomas L. Ostermyer on December 6, 1969. She had a wonderful career working at ProMedica Continuing Care Services/ Caring Home Health Care Services. When her children were younger, she enjoyed volunteering for Bedford Public Schools where she helped in the resource room and as an art instructor. Pam also enjoyed being involved with the Little League Baseball programs in Bedford, and was a great scorekeeper.
She spent her free time using her creative mind. Pam loved to paint with oil and watercolor, woodcarving, sculpting with clay, and Sumi ink painting. She enjoyed watching the birds and looking at her flowers. She especially loved going to Traverse City and going on casino gambling trips.
Pam is survived by her loving husband of 53 years, Thomas; children, Jaime (Shannon) Ostermyer, and Beth (Brian) Hubert; grandchildren, Gerry, Elizabeth, Shyann, Ellie and Cassie; great–grandchildren, Adriana Rayle, Clover Eckert and Bowen Rhett; daughter–in–law, friend and caregiver, Angela Welch. She was preceded in death by her son, Craig Ostermyer.
There will be no public visitation or funeral services. A private Celebration of Life will be held in the fall. Arrangements were entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to an animal charity of the donor’s choice. Pam loved rescuing and helping cats and kittens.
