Ralph Burton Hendrickson, 87 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2023 at Vibrant Life Senior Living. The son of Ray and Alberta (Skillman) Hendrickson he was born on May 28, 1935 in Toledo, OH.
Ralph married the love of his life JoAnn Judson on July 8, 1961. He worked for Owens-Illinois for 34 years in the Plastic Division retiring in 1994. Ralph served 3 years in the Army National Guard and 3 years with the Air Force Reservist. He was called to active duty during the 1961 “Berlin Crisis.”
Ralph enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, golfing, listening to music and watching sports, especially the University of Michigan. JoAnn said he was an excellent dancer.
Ralph is survived by his wife JoAnn, son, Greg (Loren) Hendrickson; granddaughters, Cadence (Adam) Adkins and Brenna (Jake)Weishaar; great-granddaughter, Adaline Weishaar, all of Spokane, WA; granddaughter, Sarah (Anthony) Ocacio of Brunswick, OH; as well as many nieces and nephews. Ralph is preceded in death by his twin brother; Robert; daughter, Lori and sister Jewel.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for family. The family would like to thank the staff at Vibrant Life for caring for Ralph this last year and a half. Please consider donating to one of our favorite charities which includes Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Memory Lane Day Care or the Alzheimer’s Association. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI.
