Sandra M. Matzinger, 79 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Sunday, February 20, 2022 in ProMedica Flower Hospital, Sylvania, OH.
The daughter of Carl and Helen (Huebner) Holtgrieve she was born May 14, 1942 in Toledo, OH. A 1960 graduate of Toledo Central Catholic High School, she married Larry Matzinger April 28, 1962.
She had worked at Francis Foods for 10 years and did secretarial work for Inverness Mobile Homes over 5 years.
Sandra enjoyed bowling, her cats, and spending time with family, especially babysitting the grandchildren.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Larry; children, Connie (Greg) Sondergeld of Lambertville, Scott Matzinger of Ottawa Lake; grandchildren, Justin, Brandon (Brittany), Chelsea (Chris), Dennis; great-grandchildren, Brantley and Caiya; brother, Larry (Joan) Holtgrieve; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be Friday, February 25, 2022 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. The funeral service will be Saturday, February 26, 2022 in Faith United Lutheran Church 4543 Douglas Rd. Toledo, OH at 11:00 a.m. where there will be visiting after 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Bedford Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Temperance.
