Shareen Lee (Rakosik) Dressel, 59 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026 at ProMedica Toledo Hospital after a hard-fought battle with cancer. The daughter of Dennis and Terry (Heard) Rakosik, she was born on March 25, 1966 in Toledo, OH.
A 1984 graduate of Bedford High School, Shareen received her Cosmetology license and opened her own salon in Sylvania, OH. Through her hair artistry, she met many people, who became friends. Shareen met the love of her life, Dean in 1988. She supported him throughout his US Naval service and they married on April 28, 1990. Shareen’s world changed when she became a mother. She retired from her cosmetology business after the birth of their 3 children. Together, Dean and Shareen enjoyed spending time with their family and friends. They spent many hours and shared many laughs while boating and fishing on Lake Erie with their close friends, Kevin and Bethann Wonser.
Shareen was a creative artist by nature. Aside from cosmetology, she had a talent for knitting, crocheting, and being an accomplished cook and baker. She loved sharing her creations and treats with loved ones. Shareen found joy in caring for others. Even while battling her own disease, Shareen, along with her sister, Shelly, were caregivers for their mother until her recent passing in January of 2025. She enjoyed her Monday night girls’ “therapy sessions” with her sister-in-law, Rhonda, and friends, Brenda and Jean. Shareen also enjoyed many casino trips with her mother.
Shareen also had a passion for animals. She especially loved Springer Spaniels and raised them for many years. She will be missed by her 4-legged fur baby, Dallas.
Shareen is survived by her children, Blake (Samantha) Dressel, Natalie (Jeremy) Henry, and Danial Dressel; sister, Shelly Rakosik, she will be greatly missed by her cherished grandchildren, Corbin and Lainey Dressel, and Emmett Henry, with another grandson on the way. Shareen is also survived by in-laws, Ken (Miriam) Dressel, Doug (Rhonda) Dressel, Diana (Bill) Ristom and Mick Gose. She will always be lovingly remembered by her nieces and nephews, Randi (Bill) Scovell, Brandon (Krista) Dressel, Jeremi Manor, Grant Gose as well as her great-nieces and nephews, and many dear friends and extended family.
Shareen was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Renee Gose, and niece, Laura Gose. She is now reunited with her best friend, soulmate, and loving husband of 30 years, Dean Dressel, who passed on July 14, 2020.
Her kind, gentle and loving spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI 48182.
