Shirley Buchelt

Shirley Mae Buchelt, 83 years, of Temperance, MI passed away on Thursday, August 19, 2021 in her home under the care of ProMedica Hospice. The daughter of Roy and Gladys (Pratt) Domigan she was born on September 19, 1937 in Toledo, OH.

A graduate of Bedford High School, Shirley married Robert Buchelt on December 12, 1959. Shirley worked as a nurse for Dr. Crockett for 35 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren and great-grandchildren taking them to the park and baking with them. A favorite of everyone’s was her macaroni salad and cookies

A Loving Mother “”Mum”” to, Bob (Wendy) Buchelt, Karen (Bill) Hurst, Kathy (Johnny) Buchelt and Mike Buchelt; a loving “”Mee Moo”” and grandma to Krista (Josh) Hurst, Bobby, Jake, Zak Buchelt, Michael (Connie), Michelle, Cheyenne Buchelt; “”Mee Moo”” and great-grandmother to Camden, Carter, Harper, Grace, Carter and Ava; brother, Dave (Sheree) Domigan; sister-in-law, Wanda Domigan; many nieces and  nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Buchelt, parents, brother, Jim Domigan and infant daughter, Diane.

The family would like to thank Dr. Thomas McAlear and staff, special caretaker, Wendy Buchelt, ProMedica Home Care, special thank you to Chelsie and ProMedica Hospice for their care and compassion for our mom.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI 48182 where the funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow in Bedford Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in Shirley’s name are requested to the Dementia Society of America.
