Shirley June LaBo, 91, of Lambertville, MI passed away Sunday, December 31,2017, surrounded
by family. She was born January 14, 1926 in Toledo, OH.
She enjoyed a long career working at Jeep, Whiteford Telephone Company, and retired from
Bedford Public Schools, where she worked as a bus driver and secretary of Transportation-Whitman group.
Her interests included spending time with family, gardening, flowers, sewing, singing, taking
pictures, and her many friends. She especially treasured her role as a grandmother and great-
grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert LaBo; parents, William and Leona
LaBo; sister, Bettie Heitman; and granddaughter, Laura LaBo.
Left to treasure her memory are her children, John LaBo, Debra (Vincent) Ceravolo, William
(Lana) LaBo, Diana (Michael) Donovan, and Michelle LaBo; grandchildren, Barbara Williams,
Michael Donovan, John (Sabrina) Donovan, Christopher LaBo, Chrystal (Brent) Imholt, Christina
(Ryan) Weasel, Elizabeth (Nicholas) Zacharias, and Robert LaBo; and great-grandchildren,
Brooke Williams, Derek Williams, Matthew Donovan, Olivia Zacharias, Owen Weasel, Sophia
Zacharias, Valerie Imholt, Hudson Imholt, and Samantha Donovan.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 4, 2018 from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI where funeral services will be Friday, January 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Anthony’s Catholic Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family
wishes to thank her caregivers at Fountain View and the 6 South staff at Promedica Toledo
