Stephen “Steve” Stoyanovich, 84 years, of Lambertville, MI passed away peacefully on April 26, 2025 in Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, OH. A beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and great-great grandfather lost his brave battle with cancer and was surrounded by his family and love.
The son of Daniel and Helen (Socivar) Stoyanovich, he was born November 29, 1940 in Monroe, MI. A U.S. Army veteran, Steve had worked at General Mills for many years.
He is now reunited with his wife of 62 years, Linda (Eighmey), the love of his life. Together, they shared a life filled with devotion, laughter, and enduring love.
Steve was an avid outdoorsman who loved to duck hunt and fish with lifelong friends and go on quiet walks with his loyal dog, Echo. He found joy in the simple things such as car rides with Linda and later with Echo, and the company of those he loved.
A kind, good man, he was a friend to many and always looked on the bright side. His gentle spirit and warm heart leave a lasting legacy in all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Dawn (Charles) Clark, Danny (Mary) Stoyanovich, Scott Stoyanovich, Holly Stoyanovich; 6 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson.
We will miss him every day but draw comfort in knowing that he was met on the other side by our Mom and the “chihuahua posse”.
Heartfelt thanks to the incredible staff at Ebeid Hospice (Hospice of NW Ohio), who not only gave Dad peace in his final days but cared for our family with compassion and grace.
In honor of Dad’s wishes a private family gathering will be held. Memorial donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Arrangements entrusted to Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel, 8300 Lewis Ave., Temperance, MI.
