Thomas Alan McGreevy, 55 years, of Charleston, TN passed away on February 10, 2024 in his home. The son of Thomas H. and Lillian (Clare) McGreevy he was born on July 22, 1968 in Toledo, OH.
Thomas graduated from Bedford High School in 1986. He went to attend college in Ohio for broadcasting engineering.
Tom served in Air Force from December 1990 through December 1994 during the Persian Gulf War (Desert Storm) as a Secure Communications Systems Journeyman working in Crypto. After leaving the Air Force he worked as telecommunications engineer for several companies in Virgina, Indiana, Florida and Tennessee.
He was an avid zombie movie and book watcher/reader and steampunk follower and created solar lanterns for his family and friends. He was proud of his service to his country and was extremely patriotic.
Thomas is survived by his sisters, Lauren Welly and Nichole (Michael) Lee; 4 nephews, Josh and Steven Welly, Tyler (Jori) and Chase Lee; 2 nieces, Lillian and Macie Lee; 5 great nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and niece, Madison Lee.
A memorial gathering will be on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in the Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave Temperance, MI. A graveside service will be on Friday, March 8, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. in Whiteford Union Cemetery with Military Honors being conducted by the Lambertville VFW Post 9656.
