Thomas W. Schaeffer, 72 years, of Temperance, MI passed away Sunday, December 7, 2014 in Promedica Ebeid Hospice, Sylvania, OH. A self-employed contractor working mostly from his home. The son of Robert and Annette Schaeffer, he was born March 19, 1942 in Iron Mountain, Michigan. On September 4, 1965 he married Karen.
Thomas enjoyed fishing, hunting and stamp collecting and trains. He also enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife Karen and children, Tim (Rachel) Schaeffer and Kim (Brian) Thomas. Also surviving are his six grandchildren and brother Joel and sister Anita
A Celebration of Life Service will be on Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at 11 AM at Whiteford Wesleyan Church 10285 Sylvania-Petersburg Rd, Ottawa Lake, MI 49267 where a memorial gathering will begin at 9:30 AM. Arrangements entrusted to Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Avenue Temperance, MI. Donations may be made to Promedica Ebeid Hospice or Promedica Hospice
