Wanda Mae (Doxsie) Hott, born August 24, 1937 to Burnell and Wilma (Pinkelman) Doxsie, passed away surrounded by family on May 27, 2026.
Wanda married Richard L Hott on October 30, 1955. Together they built a life full of love. Known to most as Ma or Nana, she loved Las Vegas and took many trips with friends and sometimes family. She loved to travel and did so as often as she could. Some of her favorites include Ireland, London, Hawaii, Atlantic City, cruises to tropical islands, Laughlin, Arizona, and many other destinations.
Nana was a lady of many talents. She loved playing the trumpet in the marching band, singing, playing the piano; she was an artist, seamstress, baker, dump truck driver, and homemaker.
Sadly, in 2011, Wanda and Richard lost their eldest daughter, Pam (Dean) White to cancer. Wanda is survived by her husband, Richard, their children Timothy Hott, Mindy (Derrick) Owens, Thomas (Kim) Hott; grandchildren, Lindsay (Pete) Sanders, Craig (Katie) Herbster, Angela (Jon) Alt, Erica Owens, Katie (Barto) Hott, Rachel Hott; great grandchildren Presleigh, Samuel, Macie, Kazley, Leo, Addison, Leah.
A luncheon celebrating her life will be held on June 7th from 1-4 pm at Northwest Christian Church 1590 W. Temperance Road, Temperance, MI 48182. Arrangements entrusted to Urbanski’s Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI.
